Storiis AI can help you develop an idea, fill a particular gap, test a complete Plan or turn written descriptions into visual references. The tools are spread throughout the app because each one is designed for a specific kind of work.
You do not need to use all of them. The most useful AI request is usually the smallest one that matches the decision in front of you. Asking for one missing scene is often better than generating an entirely new story because Act Two looked at you strangely.

Use the brainstorming tools to turn an early premise into story material or develop one part of an existing idea.

Build or Revise the Plan
Use the Plan tools when the story foundation exists and you are deciding what happens scene by scene.

Prepare the Plan as a reliable source of truth, then use Cloud AI Access or an exported Story Bible to help another AI system draft prose scene by scene.

Give AI Useful Context
Each tool draws on the relevant material already in Storiis. Before a large request, add the information that matters most:
- Put the premise, dramatic question, genre, mood and point of view in Story → Overview.
- Use Story → Tone & Style for narrative voice, prose preferences, audience, maturity and standing directions.
- Identify the Key Cast and develop central character goals and journeys.
- Record fixed truths as canonical facts and hard limits as constraints in Worldbuilding.
- Connect story beats, characters, locations, exposition and timing to scenes.
You do not need to complete everything. A few precise facts and constraints are more useful than several pages of material that politely avoids making a decision.
A Practical Working Pattern
- Enter the facts and constraints you already know.
- Choose the smallest AI tool that matches the current question.
- Give it a specific goal rather than a request for generic improvement.
- Review the result against the dramatic question, character motivations and canon.
- Apply only the useful material.
- Read the changed Plan in Summary or inspect it through the relevant Analysis lens.
AI is very good at producing possibilities and spotting patterns. Taste, intention and the courage to delete the impressive but wrong suggestion remain stubbornly human responsibilities.
Credits, Privacy and Control
AI tools use credits and show an estimate before a request. See Credits & Usage for balances, estimates and the information sent when you use Storiis AI.
Turn on Settings → General → Hide AI features when you want a completely manual workspace. This hides AI controls and the Analysis section without removing your existing material. See System Settings for details.
Cloud AI Access is separate from the built-in tools. It gives a compatible outside AI tool read-only access to selected, synced stories and uses its own document allowance rather than Storiis AI credits.
The connection remains read-only, but the outside AI can file proposed Plan changes in the AI Suggestions inbox. You review each suggestion and decide whether to accept it, incorporate it manually or dismiss it. See Keeping the Plan Aligned with AI Suggestions.
